What we do

toolkit.bot converts PDF files into EPUB3 format — the open standard for digital books. The resulting EPUB works on Kindle, Kobo, Apple Books, Google Play Books, and any EPUB-compatible app or device.

Our converter handles cases that general-purpose tools miss: two-column academic papers (arXiv, journal articles), scanned PDFs with no text layer (automatic OCR), and complex tables (rendered as real HTML, not images).

How it works

Upload a PDF. The converter extracts text, detects document structure (headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, multi-column layouts), and builds a valid EPUB3 file with semantic HTML markup. If a page contains no extractable text (scanned image), OCR runs automatically before extraction.

The output passes EPUBCheck validation and targets EPUB Accessibility 1.1 conformance with WCAG 2.2 AA structural requirements: semantic heading hierarchy, language declaration, a navigation document, and table markup.

Privacy

Your file is processed in an isolated temporary directory and deleted immediately after your download completes. Nothing is stored on our servers. No account is required for the free tier.

Pricing

The free tier includes 5 conversions per month with no account required. Paid plans start at $9/month for unlimited conversions, or $0.50 per conversion with no monthly commitment. An API plan ($29/month) provides 500 conversions/month via REST API for automation workflows.
